Untapped Potential and Inferiority Complexes

The world is full of people who have been trained (by parents and/or the "educational" system) into thinking they are stupid. Large numbers of such people were necessary to maintain the pyramidic structure of societies. The possibilities for independent learning afforded by the internet allow for the first time in history a way for billions of inferiority complexes to be broken down. The deliberate dumbing down of all but the elite has perhaps best been documented by John Taylor Gatto.

The BBC Radio 4 programme Desert Island Discs invites castaways to choose eight pieces of music, a book, and a luxury item that they would take to an imaginary desert island, where they will be marooned indefinitely.

If they ever made "Desert Island Sites", Jane's Centre for Learning and Performance Technologies would be at the top of my list (but I'd prefer being marooned for 24 hours to indefinitely).
